Concerning his Accompt and Removal. 8. The whole Law concerning Constables, in the City of London in particular. 9. Also the Laws respecting Constables in the City and Liberty of Westminster. 10. The Act of Parliament for billeting and quartering Soldiers. 11. The Act of Parliament passed for impresting Soldiers and Seamen. Together with variety of other articles concerning the duty of a constable; the whole containing such ample Instructions that, if attended to, he cannot incur any Penalty or Censure in the Execution of his troublesome and perilous Office; the Constable being chosen and removed annually, it is not to be supposed that he can, in the Course of one Year, obtain a sufficient Knowledge of his duty, without such a Monitor. A Work also necessary to be consulted by the Public in general, as a Check to those Constables, who, either from Ignorance or Design, exceed the Power they are invested with.
