Containing Diagrams, Views, and Original Designs, in Architecture, &c. By the Author; Elegantly Engraved. Book I. Treats on Optics and Vision, a necessary Introduction to the Theory of Perspective; and contains some Objections to the received Opinions of Light and Colour; Reflection, &c. Book II. Contains the whole useful Theory of Perspective, both rectilinear and curvilinear; with Remarks, and familiar Examples, to illustrate and evince the universality of its Principles; with a full refutation of the absurd opinions which several Persons entertain of Perspective. Book III. Is a copious Treatise on practical Perspective.
