"Rosa Luxemburg's Reform vs. Revolution appeared in German in two editions - 1899 and 1908. This text here draws from both editions, with indications in the footnotes as to the provenance of the sections. The translation used is largely from Dick Howard's 1971 edition, with emandations by Peter Hudis and Kevin B. Anderson for the 2004 Monthly Review Press edition. We are grateful to Monthly Review Press for allowing us to use this translation. Further modifications have been made by LeftWord Books after consultation with Sozialreform oder Revolution ?, Gesammelte Werke, Bd. 1 (Berlin; Dietz Verlag, 1982). We have also looked at a number of earlier translations in less well-produced editions."
